My work is based on exploring the sociotechnical history of science and technology in Africa. This agenda is informed through empirical case studies and historical sources, analysed through the lens of Science and Technology Studies (STS). My particular focus is ‘maintenance and repair’ which captures an essential yet often overlooked feature of technoscientific arrangements.
